Was considering one of those 727-100 fuselage sets but can’t get the cart to load to see estimated shipping cost to the US.

Mike , at Lone Star Models squared me away with the props I need. There’s a bunch of nice resin parts as well, but just wanted the props since they are such an obvious visual. They’ll have to be cleaned up but still look really good.

Looking forward to this one for sure.

Thanks again Dutch. I emailed Joe’s and sent a message to Mike. Maybe one will respond with good results. If not, it will just have to run the wrong props.
Wolfpack Design is re-releasing it with correct props, from what I e read. If so, maybe I can get one and cast myself a set from theirs.

Thanks Dutch, I’ll email Joes.

Looks like an A350 to me, and the writing on the tail.

Thanks Walter, I did find those.
For the cockpit I may try to scratch build some of the basic stuff, instrument panel and dash. Not real up on measurements for determining the size of the seats but if I can get close I’ll be happy. I’ll try to do a console for the flight engineer as well.

Thanks Jodie. I want 22B’s for the scheme I’m going to build, so good to go.

What RB211 engines in the Doyusha kit? 22B‘s or 524’s or something else? Until I joined Airliner Cafe I didn’t realize there were different variants of some engines.

I just started a Zvezda A320 last night as well. I tape the outside and fill from the inside. Usually end up doing some very light sanding outside to smooth it out, but it has been the quickest method for me.

It seems I found replacement!
If you may know there is a small co.”Equipage” who is making rubber wheels for many different airplanes and airliners.
They have correct size and shape for Tristar. Will post photo as soon as I get one.
I’m considering to purchase couple of sets. Trying to find out how much will cost one.Rishat
Here’s a bunch but none L-1011 specific. http://www.aviapress.com/viewproducer.htm?EQU

February 26, 2016 at 2:16 am in reply to: Lost Schemes: #158 Pioneer Airlines Martin 202 (1952-55) #147116Awesome pics Rik, thanks. I did a search in Wikipedia as well but I guess I used the wrong search terms. Considering I have no art programs or the knowledge to use them, I could appreciate any help I can get. Thanks for the links, my dad will get a kick out of those.

February 26, 2016 at 12:00 am in reply to: Lost Schemes: #158 Pioneer Airlines Martin 202 (1952-55) #147112This is the only photo google has found for me. Emailed Mike at Vintage Flyer and its a possible scheme if I could find good pics for him. Not much luck though. Heck, just a big red stripe. Hardest part for me would be duplicating the font. I could stencil the stripe, create a mask for the tail. May give it a go by hand and see what happens.

February 24, 2016 at 7:43 pm in reply to: Lost Schemes: #158 Pioneer Airlines Martin 202 (1952-55) #147091Old thread but came up while I was searching info about Pioneer. My dad went on his first plane ride in a Pioneer DC-3 and all he remembers was the white buffalo on the tail. Flew from Fort Worth to Mineral Wells. He doesn’t recall the year though. Vintage Flyer has the decals for the Martin 202, I wonder if they could be adapted to a DC-3??
Interesting read, thanks for posting…way back when.

Received my kit today and decided to take a few comparison pics with the Otaki kit. Other than some minor differences it really looks the same. Mine has a lot of flash, especially along the bottom seam of the fuselage halves. The rest of the parts have a little but not bad. The Otaki wings are a little longer but look the same. The panel lines are softer on the EE kit and though most are identical to the Otaki kit, some are not there. I don’t know if EE somehow copied the Otaki and don’t really care, I’m going to build it anyway. Other than some serious clean-up of some parts, shouldn’t be too tough of a build. Now just waiting on the decals to come in from Rishat, I’ll build with the kit scheme. The Otaki kit is being built as the Stargazer along with the resin Pegasus rocket.

Hey Rishat,
No complaints. Thanks for the explanation. I guess it’s cheaper for them to ship bulk like that than in big boxes of sealed kits. Still a good deal to me. I’ll have to check out your eBay store. Thanks,

Jennings, I like the gray and white Kuwaiti C-17, makes me want to do a US what-if Military Airlift Command gray and white scheme on my waiting-for-paintjob C-17 sitting on the shelf. Any chance of a sheet?

I just ordered one from ebay seller amodels in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. He has a few but without the Delta decals. Says decals will be available later but he takes them out saying people usually use aftermarket. Weird, but right about me, I usually use aftermarket. Mine is due in by Tuesday.

I haven’t tried the Roden kit yet but I’ve built a couple of the Minicraft with no issues. Since I build mostly for the joy of it I can’t attest to the accuracy. Looks like a DC-3 to me. One of these days I’ll try the Roden kit.
