This is my 37-year-long re build of the 1964 Revell 727 kit. Cabin windows were filled in and sanded flush. Cockpit windows were filled in and the whole cockpit cab was cut from the fuselage, lowered approximately .030, re attached and re profiled. Navigation lights fashioned from clear acrylic. Aft facing running lights and fuel dump tubes fabricated from Evergreen styrene and K&S Brass rod. Horizontal tailplane re constructed and aft navigation light added to tail cone. All panel lines re-scribed. Engine nacelles replaced with 3D Printed resin items from CRM. Marking are a combination of a hand painted cheatline, Classic Airliners FRONTIER titles and logos and cabin windows and exits from Authentic Airliners decals. Painted with Tamiya white surface primer, Tamiya acrylics and LP metallic lacquers and Mr Hobby Super Metallics. Clear Coats are GSI GX-112 and GX-114.

Hats off to you with this. Just outstanding on every level. Turned a horse’s behind into a work of art.
Thanks!
Fantastic result of extremely careful and consistent work, David! Considering the quality and inaccuracy of the kit from which you sculpted this beautiful aircraft, my admiration for your work is all the greater. Thanks so much for the inspiration and sharing!
Best,
Zbynek
Thanks!
Just outstanding, Dave. Your model is extremely realistic looking in shape and finish, and all the refinements you put into it has really paid off. And thank you so much for taking the time to describe to us the process – it really helps to inspire us and improve our own projects.
