Shunsaku Tamiya passed away

Today it was announced that Shunsaku Tamiya passed away on July 18th. I can say that all of the models I’ve built over the past 15-20 years have used a Tamiya product in some form or other.

Yes Tamiya model paints are pretty much ,one of my go- tos.   Has Tamiya ever had an airliner kit?  I don’t think so.

Thanks Marco for mentioning the 175.  I thought they had done one airliner but didn’t  see it at first glance.  Imagine if Tamiya did an entire line of airliner kits.

May he rest in peace.  Tamiya kits are probably the best on the market.  Imagine a DC-10 or 747-200 in the same quality and accuracy as their F-14 or F-16 kits.  One can dream…
