Hi I have just started a new project , another Revell A319 that is planned to be done in the BEA retro scheme, the kit I am using is the BA/Germanwings release, and I have noticed that there are a lot of surface imperfections on it, on both the Fuselage and wings , there are half moon type of marks , like part of mold release ejection marks.
I noticed that the kit I am using was made in Poland, has any one else noticed these type of problems , or have I got a pre/production type of kit and Its a escapee, or do we have to watch and make sure that the kit we are planning to purchase is NOT made in POLAND ?
This is a worry as Revell are normally of great quality and do not have any problems , has anyone else noticed these type of defects ?

I haven’t seen that problem however I recently built a Revell 747-400, also made in Poland and the fuselage and wings had a textured surface as opposed to the usual smooth, shiny surface.
I spent hours sanding the texture off, trying to avoid removing surface detail and it was a time-consuming pain.
Strangely, the other parts, such as the engine nacelles, were perfectly smooth.
Don’t know if there’s any coincidence with your problem but I expect others may weigh in.

I must have built at least a dozen Revell A319s over the years and I’ve never noticed the problem you refer to.
I just wish they would re-release it!

I have some grainy 747-400s from Germany 🇩🇪 too. Not smooth like the old 747-100, DC10s or 747-200. Also the Zvezda’s all to me are not that smooth. I have to Prime all the above a lot and sand before using the gloss paint to get the sheen and shine you see on real planes.
