Dear fellow members: I have a question about something I noticed recently. Getting into the forums I noticed many of the pictures are not shown anymore; specially on the old LOST SCHEMES articles. Instead, a little square with an “X” in the middle is shown as if the picture isn’t there anymore. Sometimes I get back to the articles as a mind refresher, so I don’t know if this is any problem with the site or my computer (I have a DELL INSPIRON 3135 3000 SERIES and use WINDOWS 8.1). Any information that you can provide me will be really appreciated. HAPPY MODELLING!

February 28, 2015 at 3:21 pm #142818Hey,
It means the poster removed the images from the website they were hosted on (i.e. Photobucket or a private web page). That’s a shame really, as it discounts for the value of a forum as a database of information! The same can be seen with In Progress threads on modeling forums everywhere.

February 28, 2015 at 3:50 pm #142820Many thanks man! Like you say; it’s a shame… specially for new members that will try to reach them in order to keep up to date. Really appreciated your feedback!

March 1, 2015 at 1:26 am #142834Sorry about that! Myself and Ahmed had a misunderstanding about the file space allotted for “Lost Schemes” photos. I plan to update all the previous “LS” with the original photos plus some newly discovered ones. After we finish up the JB-series, we are going to test the new plan that Ahmed has proposed and we’ll see if it works….. We have a lot of new “LS” planned, many with Eric’s profiles as the #1 illustration. The JB-series has taken almost 3 years, so we have a lot of work to catch up on!!
If your looking for photos from a particular “LS” let me know and I’ll try to get them to you.

March 1, 2015 at 4:48 am #142836Hi John!
No problem man! After all… the reason I posted that was a “shame”, was because I thought it was a bug with the software and was computer generated. Then explained to me what happened and its completely understandable. As a matter of fact, I posted as I thought it was something with my software! :pp You all made a great contribution to the airline modelling field upon keeping and looking after the Airliner Café. Glad to know you’re eventually work on them as this is a great source of info. I’ll post then if I need anything in particular.

March 1, 2015 at 8:01 pm #142842We have some really good new “LS” planned that are going to surprise everyone. Our first new “LS” will be on the 2nd U.S. local service airline to order the 737 but just (5) weeks later, switched to DC-9! (no doubt that Douglas wanted to make sure that this early 737 order never would go through!) We have been in email contact with the son of one of that airline’s former chief pilot and have some RARE images to share and a really surprising inside story!!! We still have to finish up our Jellybean -era series first but can’t wait to see Eric’s profile of this ‘forgotten’ 737 order!

March 2, 2015 at 5:08 am #142846That sounds great and will add a very interesting topic to the LS! Very glad to know you’re looking forward as they had become so interesting.

March 2, 2015 at 5:36 am #142847We added Eric to our normal “LS” team and our “LS” Tech adviser is a retired A/C engineer and he has a way of finding documents that is impressive. Just glad that “LS” seems to be enjoyed! Was kind of a quirky idea that has caught on…..
