All the best,

MIANovember 25, 2020 at 3:02 am #159974At first glance I thought those might be JT9D engines, but after looking at the small parts it appears to be the later (-50C2) version of the CF6 like on their DC-10-30. Happy to see that!

November 25, 2020 at 4:01 am #159976Boy are they pumping out new kits at quite a pace !
Great photos, thank you.
Does it look like a better job than their A310 kit ? I read it was not highly ranked, and I am not knowledgeable on both airframes.

November 25, 2020 at 5:30 pm #159979@Challenger350Pilot:
This EE kit is an A300B4 while American only flew the A300-600, which is in many ways a completely different plane.
@Berlin_Uwe:
The separated tail cone won’t do the job for an A300-600 because the fuselage right behind the wing was lenghtened by 3 frames for the A300-600 while the shorter tail cone was used from the A310. In total the lenght difference of the A300B4 and A300-6 is almost neglible while the aft fuselage looked completely different in proportions. Also the backward door was located at different places due to that.
You cannot use an A300B4 fuselage to represent an A300-600.Cheers,
Christian

www.christianklepp.comNovember 26, 2020 at 1:08 pm #159990The A300 kits are what I’ve been excited about. Very little discussion or fanfare in the shadow of the 747SP kit. On their site, they show the A300B4 and also the A300-622 in Korean Air livery. Sadly, they did have an Olympic A300-605 shown on their homepage for a while, but it has disappeared. I am going to assume the A300 kits will be in the same spirit and “fit” of the A310 kit. It will be nice to have a plastic version of these kits, but I’m already going to say that Kurt’s kits will still be superior, and for not much more of a cost than these Russian kits.
Also, the A310-300 kits are nice to see…for the decals alone. Finally correct -300 engines (and PW’s for -200 variants…albeit not JT9D). I will definitely be picking up the Singapore gold A310 kit.

Or maybe it’s MAYBELLINE...............November 30, 2020 at 11:18 am #160037Hello,
@ Lichtjahre and Caravellerella:
Thank you for your support.
Even by knowing theses facts, I was kidding about been surpised if they would do a new fuselage or “just” a new tail.
I know – wait and see and talk then.Have a nice and save advent season.

December 1, 2020 at 4:43 am #160049It makes me sad how little attention the A300 and A310 get. Even on this forum, compared to the 747SP and 757 announcements, this thread is dead

December 1, 2020 at 7:41 am #160051Did they also change the fin between the 300 and 310/300-600, or was that always the same?

December 1, 2020 at 10:38 pm #160055Wonder what the consensus on the Airfix one was. Well, it’s sold out so there’s the answer. More jetliners the merrier! I have a A300 1/200 kit from Hasegawa i’m too lazy to finish (size albeit) so this is extremely welcome. Carnival Air, Eastern, TAA/Australian? Mmmmm.

Mmmmm.Apart from the lack of the ventral cabin air intakes under the wing-centre section and the main undercarriage wheel axles being too short; the Airfix 1/144 kit is perfect, accurate & flawless (IMHO).
Apart from the irregular spacing of the cabin window apertures; the Hasegawa 1/200 kit is perfect, accurate and flawless (IMHO).

I guess for me, the 300/310 just don’t quite please the eye the same way their longer 4-engined stablemates do, different strokes I suppose. Same thing with the 767, 787, A350, and 777, they’re boring twins to me. I guess a lot of avgeeks like the 757, 747, and the trijets. I personally find the DC10 and MD-11 ugly, but I’m told that’s a blasphemous thing to say

December 23, 2020 at 9:25 am #160170Do our Russian friends have any inside information about the release of the A300 or A310-300 kits? Please give us an update or photos!

December 23, 2020 at 4:58 pm #160171Not sure if it was mentioned, but on the Eastern Express website, there is an illustration featuring A330-900neo – now that is so great! :love

AbdukarimDecember 23, 2020 at 7:20 pm #160172Cool. I hope EE does the engines like Zvezda with the separate fan pieces that spin around when assembled. Since Revell now has this feature on the A350-900 for example, I would hope they would match this design, function and technology. Anyone know people at EE to influence decision? Also, rolling landing gear.

December 23, 2020 at 7:20 pm #160173The quality of the parts look great! I just wish they’d also do the cargo versions of the 300 and 310 in 1/72 eventually-of course as all injection kits. Imagine all of the different liveries that would be possible-with all the cargo carriers that have operated these over the years! A good number are still in use today.

December 23, 2020 at 7:21 pm #160174Also, I know this is really stretching the boundary of reality for EE, but they seem to be on a mission here and maybe want to up the quality this round.

April 20, 2021 at 7:06 am #160879Was looking at ebay, and it appears the A300 kit has been released in a slew of different decal options, along with the A310-300. Really great stuff.
