But my question is what steps are needed to convert the MPC or Airfix DC-9-31 to a series 10? I am wanting to do one. Thanks Ed Edit your Profile to get a forum signature. (but can’t remember who from originally!) P.S. I’ve noticed the conflicting measurement of the wingspan difference. My own research says that the 1/1 difference is 1.19m. So, 1190mm / 144 / 2 wings = 4.13mm at each tip. (not 6.4mm!) Therefore the pic is correct! Cheers! Scott Garard YSCB/CBR April 25, 2020 at 3:18 am #158423 PanAm64 Posts: 348 Thank you all. Here’s a great discussion about it: https://aviation.stackexchange.com/questions/60687/why-does-the-dc-9-80-md-80-have-this-cusp-in-its-fuselage IIRC, Airfix didn’t quite get the fuselage cross section right, so their kit is missing that crease.
