Air Chathams has finally retired its Convair 580. Going to miss seeing them parked on the apron down the end of AKL airport. Unfortunately, I missed the opportunity to see this old bird head out from Auckland on its final flight, but at least I know I will still get to see it next time I am in Wanaka!

Interesting article. I guess the the weather in your neck of the woods is kinder to aircraft than some parts of the world.

Great to see they’re still flying their DC-3. Sounds a little like Buffalo Airways but with a 40deg temp advantage 🙂
