Check AMD back a few days. Dave Hannant posted a very interesting commentary on the kit when he first received it.

It’s a Yahoo group; you have to register for it. Go to Yahoo.com and then go to groups, then type in Airlinermodelling. Yahoo can be a pain in the derriere with its advertisements and sign-in requirements, but it’s a pretty good group.

81.157.107.28Hi Hans,
Well as I said in a post a few days ago, it aint Tamagawa fit. I have assembled the tail and drooping nose sections and some filler was needed on the nose to keep the correct profile, the tail section went together with no problems.
The fuselage comes in 6 parts (tail section/centre fuselage/nose section) then there are 3 parts for the ‘drooping nose’ and a tail cone.
The nose and visor can be made to work !!!The fuselage has 6 bulkheads to aid rigidity, one of which is the cockpit rear wall.
Clear parts are main cockpit windows (one piece) nose visor and 7 light lense parts. No passenger cabin windows are included. However, a tube of Clearfix is, along with a tube of cement, 11 pots of paint and 2 brushes. A stand is also provided consisting of 6 parts moulded in black.
Wings are made up of 5 parts, 2 upper wing halves, one piece centre section and 2 outer lower wing parts that are outboard of the engine nacelles. The nacelles being made up from 13 parts each.
The fuselage has small pegs to aid wing to fuselage joining, and small tabs to aid fuselage joiningThe undercarriage has metal inserts to help support the model, complete with rubber tyres !!! (apparently help is on the way from the aftermarket boys)
Markings are for 3 British Airways Aircraft actually the same aircraft (G-BOAA)now located at the museum of flight at East fortune in Scotland.
B.A. 1976 – 1984

And loads of stencils for the airframe. If you need more info please give me a shout

Heller provides Air France decal sheet while Airfix provides British Airways decal sheet. It looks to be an interesting quick look of a long awaited release… mine is already ordered.

“To make things even easier, Airfix has designed the kit for three possible display options: on its gear, on a stand, or hanging from thread.”What sort of `hanging from a thread’ arrangement is Airfix catering for?

October 27, 2004 at 5:39 am #98533Hi Andrew,
I bought the new Heller 1/72 Concorde kit on my last flying trip to Paris and I can tell it’s a real beauty. The decal sheet is pretty good for a Heller kit. Plus, they includes the log book of each Air France Concorde (Most memorables dates) They also includes a big stand and the wheels are actualy real rubber! The price was 53.00 euros (85$ Cn). I bought it from a boutique on Blv St0Germain in Paris called EOL.
See you!Christian
