Aft and forward plugs: The engineers added a 44-inch section forward of the wing and a 60-inch section behind the wing. Resulting length: The total length of the 737-300’s fuselage became 109 feet 7 inches (33.4 m), compared to the 737-200’s 100 feet 2 inches.
