Anyone know anything about this? Is a 747-8 in BOAC retro colors in the works? If it isn’t, it sure should be! This is every bit as beautiful as the Lufthansa retro 747-8. I’ll bet someone could build one up as a model using a conglomeration of several different decal providers. Really beautiful!

I wouldn’t hold my breath for BA to do that. For one thing BA doesn’t have any -8s, and doesn’t have any on order or plans to order them.

It looks an awful lot like some of the Photoshop work that goes on in the “what-if” scheme forums. Some of those folks are pretty darn good at what they do. Those cloud formations are really close to those I see in some Boeing corporate photos of a 747-8F in flight, so there’s probably some compositing going on here.
It would be fun to see in real life, but I doubt this will exist anywhere but in a collection of pixels and electrons.

Beautiful. Just beautiful. This is inspiring…thinking I may want to finish a -8 in the BOAC retro colors, as a “fantasy livery.” This drawing will be very useful in the research required to complete one. Thank you for sharing.
