Anyone have any suggestions as to which specific colors to use for the British Airways Landor livery? Need to be available in the US, or able to ship to the US.

March 23, 2019 at 8:10 pm #155875I like Tamiya Royal Blue X-3 with an airbrush for the dark blue. Seems pretty close. I use it for the Delta Livery as well.

March 24, 2019 at 1:22 am #155877Russell Brown aka Airline Hobby Supplies used to have Xtracolor paint although I’m not sure if he still does.
BA Landor Pearl Grey is X304 although out of the tin it’s too dark and needs about 30-40% white. There is no direct Xtracolor equivalent of Landor Blue but I use a mix of 50% X357 US Airways Dark Blue and 50% X023 Oxford Blue. I was given the recipe by a modelling friend who worked for British Airways so it should be accurate!

March 24, 2019 at 2:30 am #155878In case Humbrol is available, Ray’s (26) Landor decal calls for Humbrol’s #15 Midnight Blue.

With due respect to you and also to Ray at 26 Decals, Humbrol Midnight Blue is a good match for the BA Negus blue, not for Landor.

March 24, 2019 at 7:35 pm #155884^ no due respect needed 🙂 I was just quoting what the 26 decals instructions say.
Searching on here and Britmodeller, H15 Midnight Blue has previously been recommended but then so has FS15044 Insignia Blue and other mixes. Xtradecal call for X023 Oxford Blue! Heck, I think I may have used FS15044 on an Airfix Landor Tristar many years ago (but remember thinking afterwards that it looked a bit too dark).
I’ve seen H15 also recommended for BOAC (is the blue the same for BOAC and Negus?).

March 24, 2019 at 11:38 pm #155886And FWIW, the closest match I can find to the current Delta color is FS15052

March 25, 2019 at 1:27 am #155887Anyone tried the Tamiya TS-55 Dark Blue?
I’m finding that there may be nothing available in a rattle can for the grey; probably have to mix white with a drop or two of black.
