In the middle of building my first AA kit and loving it so far. Almost embarrassed to admit that I can’t de-code some of the included PE parts. Can someone familiar with their 1/144 727 kit tell me what the two large parts are in the middle, and the two parts on the left side of the fret? Only the parts across the middle of the fret are for the 727.

The 2 large parts in the middle look like handrails for the ventral stairs:
As for the 2 small parts on the left… nosegear doors perhaps? (Just guessing on this!)

YSCB/CBRHi Ken…the two large parts in the middle are indeed for the airstairs on the 727. As for the two smaller ones, I have no clue…and I have an AA 727 in my stash. I would suggest you contact Kurt at AA and he’ll answer for you! Got the AA website, and use the “contact us” menu to send an email…Kurt is really good about answering email questions…might take a few days…he can be a busy guy!

Hi Ken,
Thank you very much for loving the kit. Indeed the big parts in the center are the side hand rails of the aft stair. The 2 parts on the left of those are the foreign debris reflectors for the -200 to be installed aft and in between the main landing gear wheels. Please have a look to some detail pictures of the 727-200 landing on the web.

What is missing from your finished model is the leading edge fence. All 727s have them. Otherwise your model looks great.
