A shoutout for Airliners International at ATL this year held from June 25th -June 28th at the the world class Delta Museum. The hotel is the Renaissance Concourse which has the best airport view of any hotel I’ve stayed at. I’ll be running the model contest. In a nod to Lockheed Marietta I have two L-500’s on the workbench planned for the show
Swap meet, Delta Museum, tours, model and photo contests etc. Best Airliners venue of all time.

March 6, 2025 at 9:20 am #247612That sounds like a terrific event Ken and I’d love to attend that show someday but don’t plan to cross the pond this year (except in extraordinary circumstances).
It’s also too bad since the Delta Museum is on my bucket list.
I’m planning to visit Columbus/Dayton next year around that time and then hop to another region of the country, possibly the southwest, as a part of two-center tour.
Have they announced a location for next year’s show?
Tom.

March 6, 2025 at 5:10 pm #247619Hey Tom,
Sorry you won’t be able to make the show this year. Though not nearly the size of the USAF Museum in Dayton the Delta Museum is pretty massive. You asked about the 2026 Airliners Show. Last I heard was that the organizers are retiring and were looking for someone to take over the show for 2026. So as of “today” no location planned and no certainty that there will be a show in 2026. The model contest is near and dear for me and I don’t have an interest in doing the entire show. Stay tuned for further updates.

I knew I remembered something significant about the Delta museum and it’s the fact that it has the first 747-400 produced, originally Northwest N661US.
I flew on Northwest 400s a number of times and purchased the model below on board one of them, which happens to have tail no N661US, although you can’t make it out from the compressed image.
Will definitely visit that museum someday and will lookout dates for major shows next year that I might be able to attend.
Tom.
