Hi Guys,
I’m looking at the Valom 1/72 C-46 kit and wondering which one comes with a 3 bladed propeller?
I have only seen the 4 blade online in the instructions.Does anyone make a 3 blade prop for the C-46? I am planning a Buffalo Airways C-FAVO C-46D.
Thanks for any help.
Cheers
Andrew
CYYZHello, I suppose their C-46D kit comes with 3-blade props or with both prop versions for a C-46A and D.
Look at Britmodeller, https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235090883-172-curtiss-c-46ad-commando-by-valom-released/page/2/ , the photo of the finished Buffalo C-46D shows 3-blade props.
I have almost finished the conversion of a William C-46 to a C-46R. Unfortunately I don’t know where I ordered the 3-blade props long time ago, and the packing is already gone.
Cheers
Horst

I got an email from Valom indicating all their C-46 kits come with 4 bladed propellers….
Anyone have a spare set of 3 bladed propellers from the Williams kit?
Thanks

CYYZI am affraid the Williams kit only hds four blade props. If you don’t get three bladed C-46 props, non C-46 props of almost similar seize may serve the purpose. As I wrote, unfortubately, I don’t remember where I ordered the props intended for my C-46.

Interesting.
On Scalemates the instructions for the William’s kit is showing 3 bladed propellers.
Thanks

CYYZAndrew,
I am pretty sure that the all editions of the Williams Bothers C-46 kit included both three & four blade props.
