Hello All
Wanted to know if there are any sources for more accurate aftermarket parts for the Hasegawa 1/200 scale kits. I know the vast majority of builders, model in 1/144 scale and there are a fair amount of quality aftermarket parts and details for those kits. The Hasegawa kits are very nice in my opinion but I’m not sure some of the engines are accurate and if building an airline that used other engines other than those that came with the kit, where to find correct engines. Same holds true for antennas, wheels and other detail parts. Please let me know as I do build in 1/200 scale as well and would like to upgrade some kits when it’s time to start building. Thanks for your help in advance.

January 22, 2026 at 10:47 am #250692Hi Mark,
Contrails models have PW4000 engines for the Hasegawa 1/200 747-400:
1:200 Scale 747 Engines PW 4000
They also have raked wingtips and GE90 engines for the 777:
LACI also has a bunch of 1/200 for various aircraft, mostly flaps in landing config and various detailed engines
I recommend looking by aircraft type in the drop down menu. The search function can be wonky. Various ebay sellers and online hobby stores may also carry their products if you don’t want to buy from the UK.
Braz also used to have a few 1/200 items but they are hard to find these days.

January 24, 2026 at 7:58 pm #250729We could still use some accurate engines for the Hasegawa DC-10s.
