Just a not in passing for anyone interested. Since we are mentionong comparisons between the tristar and Diesel 10, a friend of mine that retired from Lockheed and helped develope and build the Tristar said that they had a twin engine Tristar on the drawing board long before the A300 came along but none of the airlines were interested in a twin engine jumbo jet. Hmmmmmmm vewwy interesting huh?
