      Hello, friends!

I decided to open this topic because many people ask me about these three engine options I promised for the kit: RR RB211-535C “EARLY”, RB211-535E4 “LATE” & PW2000.

Here I will show the progress in creating engines to let you know what stage I am at.

I decided to make all three engines options not just the so-called "early" RR which are not in the set.

      Why?

Glory and honor to the Zvezda for the release of such a long-awaited set of very popular aircraft!

However, the view of a very fastidious modeler like me did not escape maybe as it seems to someone minor flaws that significantly affect the overall appearance of the engines and the model as a whole. I will tell you about them little by little.

I started with the RB211-535E4 “LATE” version, the reason I will tell you when I move to the early version

The Zvezda RR engines are slightly undersized, fan diameter is 12.8 mm instead 13.1mm (74.1 inches in 1/144 scale).

But what is critical is that they do not have a large piece of pylon from bottom

      I designed a 3D model of RB211-535E4 “LATE”

Today I received parts from 3D printing

      Hi Sergey,

as much as i like your engines, i will do the correction myself manually, because your prices are so astronomical, that i sadly wont spend 40Euros for two 757 or 767 engines.
      All the best

Where did you get these prices from?

I don't have such a high price for any of my set !!!

The price for a set of any two engines for the 757 will be USD 24 or approximately EUR 20 + shipping $6

      Greetings!

Are those 3D printed parts radioactive?(LOL) But, seriously... It is really amazing what you can make in your own home these days with that technology! Just a few years ago I could not have imagined this type of capability was in the pipeline, and here it is.

      Best regards,

      Hey Sergey,

      https://www.ebay.de/itm/304018178055?hash=item46c8e54007:g:1V8AAOSw7k5gtqmO

2 engines for B777 = 39 EUR plus shipping from your druz144 ebay account...

Dont get me wrong, i really like your product - but even for 4x 747 Engines i would not pay much more than 25EUR.
      Just sayin...

Actually there is a PDF list somewhere here of all the engines Sergey does and it has prices on it.

I believe you can deal direct at more favourable prices than Ebay.

I will second this. I've bought direct from Sergey on at least two occasions and not only are the prices reasonable (especially if you buy multiple sets at once), but the quality of the product is well worth the price. Sergey is a good guy.

      In my view
ultra-high quality produced in low-quantity has its price
and Sergey's engines are simply outstanding.

I look forward to the early RR engines to model a British 757 of the G-BIKA series.

Does the kit engine also have an intake ring that goes on the front? I'd be curious to see how big of an error there is between the kit engine with the ring and the fixed one. Regarding the .3 mm of fan diameter error, I'm not overly concerned with that.

      I answer in order:

1 Prices on eBay are much higher because the greedy Mr.Musk takes 25 percent from each sale
If someone wants to throw his money in the direction of the aforementioned mister this is his right.
I value my reputation and I returned money when people though that their parcel was lost!
Actually not a single parcel was lost even in this COVID crisis !

Here is my actual direct prices:

      https://www.airlinercafe.com/datas/users/2056-list-of-engines.pdf

2 The length of the Zvezda kit engine with the ring is 38.6 mm

BOEING AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE MANUAL: Overall length of engine - from front of inlet cowl to rear of exhaust cone: 223 in. (5664 mm)
      In 1/144 = 39.33 mm

I didn't say it was a critical error I just called it as “slightly undersized”

The fundamental flaw is wrong shape and as a consequence engraving of the rear half of the pylons

      Best
      Sergey

      The next level is completed

I made molds from primed and pre-sanded 3D-printed parts.
Then I molded all the engine parts using my hi-quality resin and got the items from which I will now make a master model:

BTW the Zvezda ignored this bulge

      Is it noticeable?

      Greetings,

      Beautiful work as usual Sergey!

So is the consensus that the Zvezda 757 kit PW Engines are good for building an early 757? I am looking at doing an early 757 in either Delta Widget Livery or TWA last livery.

      Thanks,

      Mark

      Hello Mark,

I haven't studied the Zvezda PWs in detail yet, but as soon as I opened the kit box I noticed the wrong shape of fan blades.

I’ll release the PWs in November, wait a little

      Hello friends,

Meantime I designed 3D model of RB211-535C “EARLY”

The spice of the situation is that the first 757 with RR engines came out with “LATE” version
Then it’s pylon by adding some parts was converted to “ERLY” engines.

      I did the same thing
That's why I started with a model of “LATE” engines !

The next level like for “LATE” version is completed as well.
The master model is on my workbench.
