Hey folks- I know the Zvezda 787-8 came with an inaccurate WBF that's remedied by a Braz resin correction set. Does anyone know if Zvezda fixed the WBF on the recently released 787-9? If not, can the same Braz correction be used on the -9?

      Thanks in advance-
      KA

No, it's identically wrong to the first 787-8. The only difference between the two kits is a longer fuselage, just like the real thing, so there's no reason any parts won't fit it.

Zvezda actually changed the WBF on the 789. I would include a photo if I had one available at the moment.

This post HERE suggests they improved it but did not quite perfect it.

I'm not aware of any change, but if anyone has both kit and can post side by side photos, I'd certainly be interested. The -8 WBF was massively wrong.

Seen only photos. They MIGHT have fixed the -9 WBF from a side view. For sure, from a cross section prospective and how it overlaps wing on upper and lower part, it is still completely pure fantasy!

      Hello Folks,

Received several emails requiring what is wrong with Zvezda B787-8 kit wing to fuselage fairing. Here below are a couple of links and pictures showing all issues with the kit.

      Zvezda B787 WBF 02

Zvezda B787-9 kit has the same problems, they just improved the upper profile from a side view. All other inaccuracies are still there.

      Cheers,
      Ivo

That's quite a difference... I'm glad you make the conversion, Ivo. To make the appropriate modifications using the traditional methods would be quite some task!! I'm planning on using your kit to build an AF -9 sometime in the coming year.
