OK all you decal experts. How much do I need to trim off Eastern A300 wide stripe to make the all gray narrow stripe plane. Stripe will probably be hand painted using specially matched from color chip paints.

      Hi Frank,
I started one a few years ago using ATP 1011/DC-10 narrow stick sheet. After staring at photo references for a great while, I realized the stripe is too narrow. I put it away for a bit.
The narrowbody sheet cheats actually look more wide. I think I'm with you, I'm going to just hand paint. Those sheets are brittle anyway.
      Anxious to see yours!
      Best regards,
      Liam

Actually looks like each color will wind up being just under 1/8 inch wide. Will probably use vertical stab decal for a blending reference. As far as seeing mine, I have a lot of models built that if I ever figure out this digital camera and how to post, will be glad to share them with everyone.

Well this has actually turned out to be easier than I thought. Fuselage has been painted with gray primer and stripes painted on by hand using custom colors. Hardest part has been painting a uniform width white stripe along the cheat lines and around titles. As soon as I can get the photos loaded into the computer and figure out how to post them, I will show the work in progress.

It is a good thing I was an aircraft avionics mechanic and not computer programer. Got photos loaded in computer but have no idea how to get them into my file here. Have read and reread instructions but apparently the images didn't load. I am still trying to get wip photos to show. Don't give up on me but don't hold your breath either. lol

Thanks. Actually the plane looks better in real life than in the photos but at least now you know what it is looking like. Have to finish left side then wings, gear, etc get added.
