      Hi guys,

I was wondering if anybody knows which colours are best used for the royal air jordanian fleet?

      Thanks in advance!

      Regards,

      jordy

I mixed color from black and white, accoding to a number of photos. As it was seem to me, the paint does not comtain any other color.

It seams to me that the perfect match is "Euro I Grey" FS36081 (Testors Model Master 1788)

      Best regards,

      Hello Jordy,

for Netherlands and Europe you can use Revell's Number 09 anthracite. It's the same Color.

      Hi Marco,

That's good to hear. These are easy to find here in The Netherlands.

      Thanks!

      Have a good one!

      09 is a dull color.

I searched a long time for this sheme, and compared many Colors and Pictures. The nearest Color to use seems to be Revell 71 Glossy Dark Grey. I don't know but it could be thet this color is out of production. I bought a small leftover stock of three cans in a modelstore.

      Hi guys,

thanks for sharing thoughts. Will try some different things before painting my model.
In the end, every plane looks different on every picture.

      Best regards,

That's because this highly polished dark grey paint reflects almost everything - sky, sun, air dust ...
That's why Royal Jordanian colour on different photos looks like grey-green or almost black or...
But in fact it is just a plain dark grey.

      Best regards,
      Eugene

That's true. It is a strange, but beautifull color!
Due to sun reflections etc, almost every airliner looks different on photos.
I've sometimes heard people say: Just pick a photo you like most of the airliner you would like to build, and than search paint to match the photo.
I'll always keep in mind: I'm building models just for myself, and if I'm happy with the final result, than that's what really matters;)

Again, everybody thanks for sharing thoughts.

      All the best!

Searched the forums for Royal Jordanian colours. This old thread pretty much covers the top side grey but does anyone have a view on the underside? It looks like a slightly off-white or maybe very light grey. I don't think it's pure white. Anyone have a view or knowledge of this? Doing an A321 in the current RJ scheme.

      Thanks

I recall from the Tristar that is it a very light grey. I don't know if it has changed with the "update" to the livery a few years back. It certainly isn't pure white. My guess would be KLM pale grey from XtraColor as a starting point.
