I for one am happy that Hasegawa is still releasing 1/200 Airliners.
Anxious to see the 1/200 A320 Neo Kit! Lots of decal choices decal makers!

Yeah I'm glad too. Hasegawa usually gets the overall shape and size correct. I've often contemplated moving to 1/200 scale because of their great models and widebodies take up a lot less shelf space. Its just a pity their range is limited to a few jetliners, hopefully we'll get a nice A350 when JAL start operating theirs. Oh, and an A380 when ANA get theirs too.

So, I'm rhetorically wondering if the external differences between CEO and NEO A32xs are just the engines
(Ok, doors can be on 321neos vs. ceos but those can be decaled).

What I am getting at is if one can take the engines/wings of the Hasegawa 320neo kit and just slot them on the Hasegawa 321.
Or is this a radically new mould?

The only external difference between a neo and a recent ceo, as you mention, is the engines, so I doubt they'd make a new mold, instead just adding an engine sprue. I wonder if the sprue has both PW and CFM options, though.

Be careful with older ceo molds though, at some point (@003ish IIRC) Airbus changed the WBF, so you may need to determine if they have the old or new one.

Ah thanks! In the back of my mind I was wondering about WBFs. And there are Hasegawa 321 kits that represent the prototype.
I suppose flap track fairings (321 being triple-slotted) might be something to look out for as well....

I thought the 321 was double-slot, and the other 32S were single, no?

Hmmmm not sure what the default A32s flaps are now, that you mentioned it.

There seems to be some inconsistancy on the Google... but I think you are correct i.e. A32s-single, A321 double with extra little fairings.

Does anyone have side-by-side photos showing the changes to the WBF on the 320?? I wasn't aware of that change.
