Do any of you other prop builders feel the same agony I do about finishing either of these prop liners. Putting the black de-icing strip decals on each airfoil of an Lockheed Conni is a pain with no profile lines on the tail planes? Having to fiddle around installing poorly molded Douglas DC-6B landing gear parts at the end of each build. I know they're very earliest of Minicraft's moldings, but aside from that they have released a multitude of kits with only a new box tops, new decals , and new decal placement pages with no thought about updating the kit molds. When I met Trendle upon the first release of the Conni, DC-6B, & Electra kits I couldn't believe he wasn't as repelled as I was looking at that the crappy box art on his new line of kits. How could he pay the tool makers that just pantographed a P-3 down and omitted or disfigurd that kit into being an Electra kit without seeing that it was an abomiation to his product line. It took 30 years later before I opened and built the WV-2 kit that I won at an IPMS Nationals raffle.

Was the Minicraft WV-2 available 30 years ago?

Nobody forces you to build a model that's going to cause you grief.

While the Minicraft Electra is a travesty, the Connie and the DC-6B are actually quite accurate. Several modellers say that the Minicraft Connie is more accurate than the much later Revell version.

As to reissuing old kits with new box art and decals, show me a manufacturer who doesn't do it. Revell's materially inaccurate Boeing 737-800 appeared in various guises. Airfix recently reissued their Boeing 707 and Comet among others. They are both considerably older than anything produced by Minicraft and still the original mouldings
