      Hi everyone,

Seems Broplan is planning to offer us a vacform 1/72 ATR-72-600 in 2018.
      Link below :

Anyone have experience with their kits ?

      Cheers,
      Jan

Hi A350 fan I have had a couple of Broplan models 1/72 Metroliner(not started yet) and his 1/72 Dewotine D338 French pre WW2 Trimoter
they are very accurate and detailed models but you will have to put a lot of work into them to get good results, his after sales service is exemplary, I made a total hash of the D338 forward fuselage sides, they are thin vacuform and I tried to strengthen the sides with superglue, all this did was shrink the plastic and made them totally unusable, I contacted the company, and they sent me replacement parts almost immediately !
the engines and other small detail is short run injection, so needs a lot of cleaning up, there were no decals with either of the kits I have.
Hope this is of some use to you?

      Hi proplineruk,

Many thanks for your valuable info.
The ATR-72 has long been on my wishlist in this scale and will be added to the stash when it appears.
My first subject would be Air Tahiti as I actually flew them from Papeete to Moorea (an 8 min. flight !!) Decals will have to be custom-made.

      Cheers,

I have the Air Tahiti artwork for the 1/144 F-RSIN ATR 72 and will be happy to rescale it to 1/72.
