This year I have been looking to purchase as many as four of these kits. My goal has been to build a fleet of C-17s comprising all the nations that fly this bird. Besides that, I wanted to build at least one that was opened up. With this kit being scarce, I emailed Revell asking if it will be reissued. Their response was affirmative but no release date has been set. I suggested that, along with the USAF decals, Indian Air Force decals should be included. I figure a country with a billion people and a growing middle class should have at least a few modelling enthusiasts and this Hobbico could get the most bang for their buck.

Aside from a few very recent special schemes and a couple of the most recent USAF/AFRES unit conversions, I've done decal art for every C-17 user, including India, UAE, Qatar, etc. Some of them appeared in the Revell kit decals, some under the Xtradecals label (Hannants in the UK), and some in our own fündekals range.

      Here's our sheet:

Hey, guys. Don't overlook the offerings from fundekals. Although limited in scope at this time, I think they are awesome. I bought the T-38 sheet and was amazed by the amount of info and detail contained in the downloaded instructions. A new vanguard in decal marketing ? HOPE SO !

I have your sheet Jennings. Hopefully you will see an uptick in business if/when Revell reissues the kit. I've been looking for C-17s online and at local hobby shops in southern New England with out much success.

Forgot to mention that Drawdecals.com has C-17 decals as well.

Thanks ;) Not so much a new vanguard as very cheap and unwilling to deal with all the printing and handling of paper for the instructions. But seriously, people really seem to like our PDF instruction sheet idea - so much so that several other manufacturers have started to emulate us...

To elaborate on the DRAW Decal mention in an earlier post, yes, most of the C-17 schemes/users are represented in the DRAW line. The two that have not yet seen the light of day are the 167th AW West Virginia ANG (Martinsburg) and the Canadian 429 Squadron 75th Anniversay scheme on 177704. Both are in the works for eventual release, along with 145th AW North Carolina ANG (Charlotte), once they transition in the near future.
