Anyone ever used Apollodcal airliner decals? An entirely new discovery to me. Only know that they were apparently based in Riverside, CA, and produced at least (7) 1/144 sheets complete with windshields, windows and the more useful details. My speculation is that they go back to the mid-late 1990s...and bear somewhat of a resemblance to Liveries Unlimited decals copyrighted around that time period.

I can vouch for Apollodcal being based out of Riverside. In 2000 the man who ran Apollodcal (Wayne Fowler, IIRC) posted some kits for sale on one of the boards and we made a deal with him, and the deal was done out of Riverside. I don't recall ever having any of his decals, but from what I saw of them they looked good.

The later Apollo Decals (a joint effort I was involved in, producing decals for the Apollo recovery helicopter "Old 66") had nothing to do with Apollodcal. I fretted a little about the name similarity at the time, hence why the storefront was "Old 66 Decals."

The instruction sheet for theses decals indeed states that they were based in Riverside:
