Have any of the decal (or kit) makers ever produced a sheet for a 1/144 (or 1/139) TWA 707-131/331 in the 1959-61 rocket livery seen on TWA's 707s (and Convair 880s) prior to the addition of the iconic golden "twin globes" surrounding the (noticeably smaller) "TWA" tail and fuselage logos introduced in 1962? ...and, if so, is the decal of a vintage that would, with reasonable precautions, be usable today?

Thank you for your idea. The large "TWA" titles without twin globe surrounds on the above-mentioned sheet are for the wings. Nonetheless, they may be correctly sized for pre-1962 707 tail logos (TWA's first 727-231s were delivered several years after the "Twin Globes" tail/fuselage logos made their debut; also, as far as I know, wing titles were discontinued by TWA some time before their first 727-200 was delivered). Globe-less fuselage titles of correct size as well as other markings would need to be found elsewhere.

Todd, I offer a "pre-Globe" sheet for the CV-880, and have a sheet planned for the 707 as well.

The pre-globes 707 sheet 'sounds like a plan' to me... so as to get everything needed in one package. By the way, Mike, if your planned TWA sheet will include markings for a 707-131/-131B, can it be offered in 1/139 scale? Would like someday to do a TWA -131 with short tail and non-fan engines with the Revell United "720" kit I recently acquired (which, as most of us know, is actually yet another re-pop of the 707-120 kit first released by Revell c.1959)...and/or perhaps a -131B with tall tail sans HF antenna with one of the Revell AWACS kits in my stash.

Yes, I'll definitely be offering the sheet in 1/139th scale.
