I finished my Aurora DC9 back in 2000 or so and the model still has holds a place of honor in my display cabinet.

Here are some tips from my build

I shaded the control panel lines in pencil.

I used Testors Blue Angels Yellow for the paint.

I cut squares of black decal trim film for the cockpit eyebrow windows.

I made antennas with sheet styrene.

A number of years later the top fuselage seam started to split which I managed to repair. In hindsight I wish that I had reinforced the fuselage seams with some strip styrene sheet when I assembled the kit.

I remember the cockpit/fuselage seam being rather difficult and used Krystal Clear to help fill in the gaps.

I've only seem the Aurora DC9 and 737 kits and agree that the DC9 is much nicer without any major "issues". AFAIK it was never released after Aurora went out of business so it is a quite rare kit. Great news on the re-release. I've been there done that with my build so won't be getting another one.

It was a fun and different build for me as I primarily do smaller scale models.

The 737's showed up as Monogram kits later on sporting the "tulip" United livery.
