Have a question for those that are well informed on the Fokker F28. I have noticed that most Mk.4000s have bare metal wing and stab leading edges, which would seem to indicate bleed air anti-icing of the wings and tail. In contrast, many Mk.1000s I have seen have painted wing and tail leading edges, which would seem to indicate that the leading edges are not heated. BUT, some 1000s DO have bare metal leading edges.
So, was bleed air anti-icing an option on Mk.1000s but a production standard on Mk.4000s?
